David Ramsden-Wood will discuss the true cost and issues associated with Plug and Abandonment Technologies 

David Ramsden-Wood was the Co-Founder and COO of OneEnergy Partners (2018 sale).  The creator of the #hottakeoftheday, David began his career in energy as a Reservoir Engineer for Anadarko in 2001. Throughout his career, he has held roles across the analytical spectrum, including Completion and Production Engineering and Business Development. One of David’s key skillsets is his ability to analyze the flow of funds throughout the opportunity set and to interpret market trends which has led to the founding and co-founding of multiple oil and gas teams and entities. 

Bresee Carlson - will provide an "Overview and Regulatory Rules for P&A and Orphan Wells"

Bresee attended law school at the Sturm College of Law in Denver, CO with aspirations of providing guardian ad litem services for Colorado children. After graduation from Sturm College of Law in 2009, Bresee was introduced to the energy industry by working title in the field and in house. Since then, her practice has focused on land and title related oil and gas issues across the Rocky Mountain producing states. Bresee is an adjunct professor of Oil & Gas Law at Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado, sits on the board of Energy Strong, and is actively engaged in the DAPL, WAPL, and RMMLF. In her spare time Bresee volunteers with the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center providing guardian ad litem services for protection order proceedings or works on her unfortunately high golf handicap.

Tom "T.J." Slocum, Jr.  - will discuss New Sustainable plugging Methods, Carbon Credits for Operators and Increasing Operators ESG score

Tom "T.J.” Slocum, Jr. is an engineering consultant with over 16 years of upstream project management experience on land and in the Gulf of Mexico, primarily conducting well abandonment work.  Tom is the fourth generation of oil and gas workers coming from his native Houston family. His great uncle, Joe Nelms, pumped cement with Earl P. Halliburton in Texas during the first big Texas oil boom in the "gusher age” when Texas became the dominate oil producer in America. His grandfather, John Nelms, pumped cement for over 35 years and retired from Halliburton twice. His father, Tom Sr., retired from Halliburton after 30 years and helped start Halliburton’s first plug and abandonment division before working for Superior Energy Services and Wild Well Control. Slocum has dedicated his life to the proper plug and abandonment of wells and understands the importance of doing the cement job right the first time, protecting the opportunity for energy freedom. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Texas A&M University and started his oil & gas career working in an oilfield cement lab while a student at A&M. Since graduation in 2005, Tom has helped several startup services companies and startup operators in Texas. He continues working as a consultant today with Trifecta Solutions and is currently working on a "sensitive environment” abandonment project on land in Texas for a small, private operator. Tom enjoys his career in the oil & gas industry and knows exactly what all operators face every day from his years of experience working for them in Southeast Texas, the Permian Basin, Louisiana, and the Gulf of Mexico. Tom also conducts business development and consulting work in the O&G Bitcoin mining industry here in Texas and abroad working with flared gas, stranded gas, vented gas, and injected gas.  Most recently he has begun working on a new sustainable plugging method for operators in America that will hopefully usher in carbon credits for the operator and increase the operator’s ESG score.
