Honeywell Encino Emissions Monitoring and Reporting

The Honeywell Encino Emissions Monitoring and Reporting Roundtable is a free interactive forum providing a unique opportunity to engage and challenge experts in gas detection technologies, environmental regulations, and emissions management techniques. A live demonstration of gas cloud imaging (GCI) technology will clearly visualize its benefits for the industry. Additional small group discussions will help encourage deeper understanding of the critical emissions and regulatory issues faced by operators, providing invaluable insight to develop improved solutions and services. Lastly, the included lunch and afternoon happy hour provide excellent opportunities to network and build long-lasting relationships in the industry.

About the Event:

Environmental compliance and emissions reductions are increasingly important issues in the oil and gas industry, as stricter government regulations emerge and more industry leaders commit to greenhouse gas emission goals. Environmental compliance is a key aspect of oil and gas project operations, especially with regulators increasingly active in demonstrating effective intervention. As the current administration reshapes the regulatory landscape, new innovations are required for the industry to keep pace and move forward confidently. In this roundtable event, Honeywell Rebellion and Encino Environmental Services will introduce new technologies and service models to help upstream operators better identify, quantify, and manage fugitive emissions. A critical challenge for the industry is how to manage leak detection and repair (LDAR) for methane emissions, which commonly deploys workers to manually inspect sites periodically using handheld detectors to identify leak sources and arrange repairs. However, this protocol has drawbacks due to its high labor-intensity, susceptibility to human error, and low inspection frequency. A more effective approach is a new class of technology called gas cloud imaging (GCI), which addresses many of the gaps in the current methodology. Leveraging this automated technology enables continuous emissions monitoring, more effective safety and asset monitoring, EPA-compliant data reporting, and data support against compliance risks.

Honeywell's Abstract:

Honeywell Rebellion is a solution provider of intelligent emissions monitoring systems for the oil & gas industry. Our award-winning Gas Cloud Imaging (GCI) system uses proprietary hyperspectral imaging technology coupled with physics-enhanced artificial intelligence to detect and quantify gas emissions in real-time from as far as a mile away. The system provides actionable videos of gas leaks as they occur and tracks the resulting plume as it moves throughout a facility. Alert levels are programmed directly into the system allowing for a fully automated process. The GCI system can detect up to 30 different gases and is compatible with all major DCS and alarm systems. The self-calibrating hardware is typically more accurate at detecting leaks than traditional hardware, with future capabilities in development to estimate the total volume of gas emitted. The technology allows operators to identify and prioritize leaks, reducing time spent on investigation and deploying manpower more effectively to perform repairs. One of the biggest challenges facing the oil & gas industry today is reducing greenhouse gas emissions and complying with stricter environmental regulations. The GCI system helps meet this challenge by detecting and quantifying methane leaks as soon as they occur, allowing operations to prioritize and fix leaks faster than existing LDAR protocols. This results in significant reduction in fugitive emissions and associated compliance risks. With just a small number of GCI systems, an entire facility can be monitored continuously for methane emissions compliance. One of the advantages of this technology is its versatility: it can be used for wells, pipelines, plants and other oil and gas facilities. Because of its wide detection range and area coverage, multiple wells and tank batteries can be monitored using a single strategically placed GCI system. For upstream operators, detecting and preventing gas leaks improves safety, reduces compliance risks, and enables achieving greenhouse gas reduction goals.

Encino's Abstract

Encino Environmental Services is a comprehensive provider of advanced air emissions monitoring systems for the Oil & Gas industry. Encino uses proprietary data collection systems to support operators with their ESG and regulatory compliance needs. In addition to traditional emissions management services like stack testing and LDAR, Encino is proud to offer an the latest in Continuous Emissions Monitoring technology using Honeywell Rebellion’s GCI cameras. EPA’s ongoing oversight of day-to-day facility operations has made it difficult to keep up with site monitoring, let alone comply with tightening regulations, while also demonstrating improved environmental performance to shareholders and investors. Encino’s support in deploying continuous monitoring systems, monitoring the data, and providing analyses helps operators manage their assets while minimizing environmental risks. Encino’s personnel have years of experience in the O&G industry, and understand the challenges of weather, terrain, remoteness, and difficulties deploying technology in the Oil Patch. Each staff member has spent years in the field managing air quality programs, including permitting, implementing and reporting against greenhouse gas inventories, engine testing, and OOOO/OOOOa compliance. Encino knows clients need efficient, dependable, and affordable solutions for maintaining compliance and improving ESG. We are excited to be able to deliver a CEMS program that not only identifies leaks, but speciates and quantifies them as well, so operators can make informed decisions about their air quality programs.

While restrictions are loosened our main priority is safety! It is still pertinent for attendees' safety to utilize Honeywell's Thermo Rebellion all attendees as they check-in will have their temperature checked. During the check-in process, a disclosure waiver must be signed is required as attendees enter the room.

Thank you for your understanding.
