Frac School - Hydraulic Fracturing Training

Frac School

Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for Financial Advisors, Sales Professionals (proppants, frac fluids, safety equipment), and Completions, Reservoir, Production, or Operations Engineers; and Engineers serving on multidisciplinary asset teams. No prerequisites are required to attend this course.

About The Event

Petroleum ETC Frac School courses are renowned for the balanced presentation of both the theoretical and the practical. The Frac School introduces hydraulic fracturing in a truly unique learning environment. The course reviews many topics and is customized to the needs of the industry's market. Frac School will provide the basic concepts of hydraulic fracturing and the broad applications of the technique to the advanced concepts and reservoir performance from frac designs. We discuss many fracturing technology benefits and limitations in all types of sandstone and carbonate reservoirs. Our instructors consider the critical components of the fracturing process, design, and implementation of hydraulic fracturing treatments and the multi-instructor training perspective is one of a kind not offered by any other school around. This allows for a dynamic approach to techniques and worldwide experience. In addition to the technical presentation, the course contains many practical exercises and class problems based on case histories. The top priority is to become familiarized with the fundamentals of hydraulic fracturing including the universal process for Shale and Conventional plays, rock properties/log analysis, regulatory issues, and specifics of propping agents, frac fluids, and forced closure. We make custom courses to fit your schedule and you can receive more bang for your buck. Please submit an inquiry for an in-house course below.

AARON DRESSEL| VP & PARTNER at XStim CONSULTING, INC.

Aaron Dressel started his career with BJ Services in Bakersfield, California as a pressure pumping field engineer where he was introduced to downhole analysis, fluid design, operational & material coordination.  Eventually in 2012 Aaron accepted a role as a frac consultant for Shell Oil in Wellsboro, PA.  During this time Aaron played a large role in implementing the use of production water for stimulation, frac stack configuration, and other key operational procedures that have been utilized in the industry today. Aaron then began consulting in the DJ Basin, Powder River Basin, Delaware Basin, Uintah Basin and the Bakken Shale supervising frac and drill out operations.  With the increased workload and responsibilities Aaron developed his skills in operational management and completion operations.  Aaron is a very respected engineer and field consultant that continues to be requested to spearhead technical projects across the US.  Now, Aaron is Vice President and Partner at XStim Consulting, inc. where he helps production companies solve their operational issues in the field.

MICK FETKOVICH | EOR ETC

Mick specializes in unconventional reservoir forecasting and characterization, waterfloods, pressure transient analysis, rate transient analysis, and field studies utilizing reservoir simulation and classical reservoir engineering techniques. He worked for QRI, analyzing multiple PEMEX-operated offshore carbonate fields and used rate transient analysis, pressure transient analysis, and reservoir simulation to understand the performance of these fields. Senior Advisor for DEEPCAST, a big data analytics company.
